The app

RoadTrace records trips using your device's GPS and barometer and displays speed, altitude, distance and routes. It is provided by YozatApps under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in full.

Speed is an estimate

Satellite positioning on a consumer phone gives an estimate of speed, position and altitude. Accuracy varies with signal, weather, terrain and the device. RoadTrace shows the quality of each fix, but a recorded trip is your own record, not a certified measurement and not legal evidence. Always obey the speed limit and drive by your vehicle's instruments, not by this app.

Safe use

Set up a trip before you drive and interact with the app only when it is safe and legal to do so. Never handle your phone while driving.

Coins and the Lifetime unlock

The first trip is free. Afterwards, recording consumes coins at the rate shown in the app (one coin per five minutes, charged at the start of each block). Coins are a consumable in-app purchase: they do not expire, they are tied to your Apple account on this app, and they have no cash value. The Lifetime unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that removes the meter. There are no subscriptions. Purchases are made through and refunded by Apple according to Apple's terms.

Your data

See the Privacy Policy. Trips stay on your device; deleting the app deletes them.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, YozatApps is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the app's readings or from lost trip data. Back up your device if your trips matter to you.
